Arooj Aftab become first Pakistani Artist to win Grammy. She is the first Pakistani musician to win the award. While along with her Jon Batiste won award for the album of the year. So lets have a look!
Last night was grand Grammy awards take place with live audience and it is big honor Arooj Aftab has win the award for it. Arooj Aftab is Brooklyn based Pakistani vocalist. She is composer, music producer and Pakistani vocalist. She had also won News and documentary awards in 2018 at Emmy awards. While she has also also worked in different music style jazz neo-sufi.
She win this Grammy award for the best global performance category for her single Mohabbat at 64th annual Grammy awards. Aftab was so proud confident to receive this award. She said “I think I’m gonna faint. Wow thank you so much. I feel like this category in and of itself has been so insane. I made about everything that broke me and put me back together. Thank you for listening to it and making it yours.”
While not just Arooj Aftab fans but also celebrities are so excited and happy for this achievement. Actress Mahira Khan congratulate the girl for her great work. She wrote in her Instagram stories mentioning Aftab “Omg Omg Omg so so proud shine on baby shine on”.
While actor Adnan Siddiqui also congratulate her for this biggest achievement for Pakistan first time “Such a wonderful news for the industry. @arooj_aftab proves her mettle. The entire world is recognizing our country’s talent. Congratulations. Proud moment for all Pakistanis #GrammyAwards”.
