Film Joyland bags nomination at Indian film festival Of Melbourne
Film Joyland chosen for Indian film festival Of Melbourne. Congratulations to the entire team of Joyland as after Cannes her is another appreciation as the film got selected for film festival of India. So lets have a look more into this!
Film Joyland just receiving love from all over the world. As the film became first ever to got selected in Cannes. Film stares beautiful gorgeous actress Sarwat Gillani. Also ever green beauty Sania Saeed, Alina Khan and Salman Peer. The movie was also warded by prestigious jury prize in the “Un Certain Regard” competition.
Also Joyland receives another award “Queer Palm’ award chaired by filmmaker Catherine Corsini.” Osman Khalid Butt and Mahira Khan think that it’s a historic win for cinema “A historic win for Pakistan and Pakistani cinema”.
Sarwat Gillani also appeared at Cannes in style representing Pakistani Culture in Green Shalwar Kameez. Indian film festival are on top for show casing such unique films. Film Joyland is nominated under he category of Best Film from the subcontinent competing with Luanna.
Saim Sadiq on his film nomination said “It’s a great honor. I am very excited to attend the festival and it’s a cherry on top that we’re nominated. I’m very excited about the ceremony. It’s always very nice to get recognition, particularly when it comes from your own people – whether they are from Pakistan or India, or Bangladesh – or whenever in South Asia. It always feels more special because they can appreciate the stories in a way that perhaps others can’t.”
Also Saim Sadiq on Instagram announces Joyland will going to screened in Toronto International Film Festival.
