Director of film Jawaid Sharif film feels so happy after this news that his film wins award. Sharing this big news with fans he said ‘Such good news on the last day of 2022. Our film The Losing Side has won the Best Human Rights Film Award at Cannes’.
Moreover he wrote ‘An Award-winning film Indus Blues by filmmaker Jawad Sharif is the story of the struggle of indigenous musicians and craftsmen of Pakistan, who are barely surviving in an indifferent society.’
Sharing details about the film he said ‘Victims of forced conversion and forced marriage.” The film follows through the perspective of various activists, politicians and legal experts who help further the “conversation as to why such a barbaric practices continue on a daily basis’. The director says that he hopes that this documentary will help people to picture the plight of these victims and this film will open our eyes and demand immediate action from the authorities.
