Sanam Jung is one of the most hardworking actress of Pakistan. She made her career debut from drama ‘Dil e Muztar’. She got so much popularity from a single drama. While Sanam Jung also did hosting in a morning show for long time. After tying knot Sanam Jung disappear from industry for short time. Later she reveal about the reason behind absence from screens.
While Sanam Jung in her recent interview reveal what difficulties she had to face due to her over weight. She said in her interview ‘After Alaya I gain a lot of weight. I was coming to T and continuously my pictures were on social media. While people use to comment me ‘Moti, Cow, Bhens’. People also advices me to left showbiz’.
This thing hit me a lot and I talked to my husband I talked to my boss Maimoona that I don’t want to work. I use to see my self in mirror and I started counting mistakes my own self. After Alaya I don’t know about Postpartum and Depression people backlash hit me a lot. While my husband encourage me a lot. He said you will get back in shape you are not the first one who changes after becoming mother’ She added.
Sanam Jung reveal that the demand for this role was for a over weighted women and they told me you have to gain more weight almost of 20 Kg’s. She said ‘I said no but when Iove Mona but character was fantastic’. We prepared a costume with cotton to look fat but it doesn’t get fit with my face and my director said you have to gain weight Sanam, I gain five Kilos then I gain 7 Kilos More than my director was happy’.
She said ‘I stopped gym and my diet food. I enjoyed this character a lot and I did a lot of thing that I never did’. I used to drive motorcycle and I learn a lot’. While she talked about problems actress have to faced due to over weight ‘Celebrities are expected to look stunning all the time and they should since it’s a part of their job,”.
She added ‘I never see oversized actors onscreen. It has more to do with our industry as it’s still evolving. Having a skinny body makes it easier for you to enter showbiz because it fits the ideal vision of beauty and makes everyone happy as well. It’s also incredibly difficult for a healthier person to get styled in our business’.
