Pakistani drama tere Bin again came under fire. As famous Islamic Scholar Tariq Masood talk about the drama as well as about the concept of Marital rape exist in Islam or not. While many people are talking about enforcement with wife and the word ‘Marital rape’. Is it allowed in Islam to did forcement with your wife if she is not agree?
While Mufti and Scholar Tariq Masood always explains people problems and matter in term of Islam. Here they talked about the world marital rape and Is it allowed in Islam to force your wife for your desires? While over this he said that there is no concept of Marital rape in Islam.
He summarizes his Bayan saying that ‘A woman has nothing to lose if she agrees. There is no cruelty. It is infact cruelty on husband to deny him sex. It can make him a mental patient and can also encourage him to start extra marital affairs. Most husbands don’t even have enough physical energy to satisfy their wives these days, let alone, forcing sex on her. Liberal media likes to promote such non-issues for no reason. In fact, wives are not even allowed to keep nawafil fasts without the permission of husband if he is at home. If the husband doesn’t fulfill his duties then the wife can ban him from sex as a punishment.’
‘In the reverse scenario, a wife cannot force the husband to have sex as it is not biologically possible for him to be ready at any random time. Ethically speaking, such an issue should not arise between the couple as they should have better care and communication with each other. And the husband should let go if he can.” All of the above are of course hanafi verdicts. Rulings of other ‘mazhabs’ might differ.’
